Event planners are the masters of creating visually stunning and seamlessly coordinated experiences. Selecting color palettes, linen textures, plates, and glassware to effortlessly coordinate with stunning florals is what they breathe. They know how to make things look good while being logistical wizards.
One persistent challenge many planners face is helping clients visualize their ideas. This leads to the classic, all too familiar, “But how will it look on the day of?” The painstaking process of planning an event is personal and carefully curated to each client. So what, might you ask, does virtual reality have anything to do with it? Well it didn’t - until now.
New Planner Dinner Series
Meet the Planner Dinner Series: An exquisite evening organized by our Head of Strategic Partnerships, Michelle Elaine, herself an event planner extraordinaire. The dinners take place at a glamorous venue with an intimate group of top planners in the industry exploring the world of virtual reality. The juxtaposition of beauty & edginess sparks interest and makes planners more receptive to the idea of embracing something new. Feeel’s innovative VR tours help planners invite guests to experience their previous events, eliminating the pointless guessing and endless site tours.
In late June, we hosted our inaugural planner dinner at The Foundry’s 19th century, gorgeously restored industrial courtyard. We celebrated the start of summer with thoughtful decor exuding femininity and elegance, with floral libations, blush velvet sofas, and al fresco dining under twinkling lights. Who would have thought you could be sitting at a place setting with a custom macaron hand calligraphed with your name on it while donning a VR headset and exploring venues virtually?
Preserving the personal connection is at the core of our mission and vision - Akiva Reich
Upon arrival, planners were greeted with champagne and led to cocktail lounges where live demos of our VR technology were presented. As they explored venues and activated spaces in virtual reality, delectable bites of fresh watermelon and miniature tacos were passed around, adding to the delightful experience. During the seated dinner, we shared our mission and vision, aiming to forge lasting relationships with all the planners in attendance.
“Preserving the personal connection is at the core of our mission and vision” said Akiva Reich, Feeel’s Co-Founder and CEO.
Planner Partnerships
Each planner filled out cards, expressing their preferences for venues they wished to explore in VR. Prominent properties such as the Central Park Zoo, New York Public Library, Weylin, and Cipriani were among the top choices. We heard from Sojourner, owner of Erganic Design, about her experience filming with us and becoming part of our platform.
As the evening drew to a close, we answered every planner's remaining questions, sharing our growth strategy and extending an invitation to pioneer with us. Planners left the evening with gift bags of indulgent Bridgewater chocolates and handmade macarons. “As an event planner myself, I was elated at the opportunity to introduce the planner community to what we are creating at Feeel,” shared Michelle as the dust settled. She is excited to partner with other planners in organizing upcoming dinners in this series.
The Planner Dinner Series aims not only to introduce the technology but also to establish long-term partnerships with the industry's top planners. We are now actively filming events for these planners and are already planning the next dinner event in August. With VR technology opening up new possibilities and enhancing the planning experience, we are excited to bring this amazing innovation to the event industry, one planner at a time.
